First off, if this has been previously mentioned, my apoligies. In antzzz, there are limited x coordinates that do not reach the hundreds, yet there are there are y coordinates that reach the 1000s. I believe it would be better to even out the coordinates so that there are equal x and y coordinates. Im pretty sure that you guys have already done something about this, but i thought it was worth mentioning

Working on this right now. it would be pretty restrictive to NOT have the map be square, so we will definitely have that, antzzz was able to get away with it because the map had no real purpose outside of being a place to arbitrarily stick people.
going off of a 1000x1000 size map (for now) would it be preferable to have them start at 0 and go up to 1000, or should we allow negative numbers? (so it would become -500 to 500 with 0 becoming the dead center)
the benefit of allowing negative numbers would be that if we ever wanted to expand the map we could do so in all directions and without having to change anyones coordinates, and the old playing field would just be in the center pretty much, but the drawback is negative numbers become a thing and I don't know what your opinions on that are, does anyone even care? Lol

I'd like the negative, also it would be pretty cool to have all the ogs in the middle of the map and newer players further out...

When players first spawn in the world they should be able to pick their coords so that they can group with allies.

Hmmm that idea has merits, but since there are specific areas that are rich in resources and others that are weaker in resources, it seems fairer to have randomly generated nest coordinates, and then the player can establish their next (second) nest in their desired location.
Afterall, how does a new player know who their allies are before they've even started the game? Surely you need to be playing for a week or more to decide who you want to side with and where you want to move to permanently?

It could be regional, like North, East, West, South. Friends might play together, or many people will come from antzzz so they will know each other and might want to have an alliance very early on.
